Interior Heavy Equipment Operator College (IHE) has been
training safe, skilled entry-level operators since 2005. Our
curriculum is not only current but is also delivered utilizing
current technological offerings. We combine theory with
hands-on industry grade equipment hours in the seat. We
offer various sizes of excavator, loader, dozer, backhoe, grader
and rock truck training. We continually evolve and adapt to
the changing requirements of our industry and provincial
regulations. Our goal is to provide safe and skilled operators
that are ready for work, or skill expansion, to industry

companies looking to staff projects. Student intakes are each
and every Monday at our training sites. We are one of the
few training providers that do not use simulators or climate
control. It’s the real thing all the time. In any weather. In any
season. We also offer custom training packages based upon
industry needs. IHE also has a remote division that is able to
travel to specific locations to train or assess current employees
at job sites or prospective operators at sites or groups living
in communities. What started as one machine today has
grown to a fleet of 50-plus pieces of equipment operating and
training year-round. Training sites include Edmonton and
Innisfail, Alta. as well as Winfield, B.C. and various remote
locations across the country.
