It was a desire on the part of the company’s ownership to
express its gratitude to those groups that sparked the creation
of Brandt’s Thanks A Billion program. Through this initiative,
Brandt provides a range of rebates to its customers throughout
the year in the form of pre-paid Visa cards. It also offers
bonuses and special gifts to employees and sponsorships for
worthy community-based programs.
“Thanks A Billion was created as an expression of
appreciation. It is all about giving back to the people who
have helped the company to grow and be successful,” said
Mortemore. “It is a way to say thank you to everyone for
supporting us and believing in us as we’ve grown, not only
geographically but into other industries.”
Another constant during Brandt’s time in Alberta has
been its affiliation with the Alberta Roadbuilders & Heavy
Construction Association. It has been a member of the
ARHCA from the time it set down roots in the province
nearly 25 years ago.
Bowes says that being a member of the ARHCA is a natural
fit and a great way to support the entire industry.
“It is our industry and we want to take an active role in it.
These types of associations are the best way to do it,” he said,
adding Brandt has long supported the ARCHA’s annual conference
and will have multiple representatives at this year’s
event in Banff. n
