Fueling relationships with responsible service
Providing solutions for all your fuel and lubricant requirements
challenges, searching for innovative
performance improvement. Therefore,
I believe the CIC has already created
an excellent avenue and opportunity to
effectively collaborate.”
Working closely and actively with
its members and stakeholders, the CIC
seeks to help shape and guide con-struction
research practices for itself
and other construction researchers
over the next decade by identifying the
most vital areas for research, providing
important and impactful services to its
members and identifying meaningful
metrics to measure both its own per-formance
and the performance of its
projects. Amongst its most impressive
achievements is the development of its
Research Roadmap, which puts empha-sis
on projects that are collaborative
in nature, have significant potential to
lead to academic breakthroughs, and
will lead to the greatest possible impact
on the construction industry at large.
When asked about the value of the
Research Roadmap to both academ-ic
and industry sectors, Dr. Robinson
Fayek emphasized its value.
“The Research Roadmap is our blue-print
for where we will focus our efforts
to solve the big and interesting prob-lems
facing the construction industry
using our academic expertise,” she said.
“The realm of research problems is end-less,
and we need to leverage our stake-holders’
interests and competencies so
that we can become known for solving
truly important problems using cutting-edge
methods.”
Dr. Robinson Fayek expressed her
high hopes for the CIC and its potential
to bring to light new innovations and
technologies to help advance Canada’s
construction industry.
“My hope is that through the CIC,
we can advance the competitiveness
of our construction industry partners,
enhance and showcase the expertise of
our collaborators, contribute to innova-tion
in construction and become inter-nationally
recognized as leaders in ben-efitting
both industry and society.” n
