New ARHCA director brings years of experience to benefit
the industry

Wendy L. MacKay, P.Eng., has taken a place on
the 2019–2020 ARHCA Board of Directors as the
Consulting Engineers of Alberta Representative,
bringing more than 23 years of experience in roadway and
municipal infrastructure to the association’s leadership team.
Graduating in 1996 as a civil engineer at the University of
Alberta, MacKay began her career with Morrison Hershfield
Ltd., working in various capacities as a civil engineer for the
employee-owned professional services firm. After a five-year
hiatus in the oil and gas industry, MacKay returned to
Morrison Hershfield in 2018 as director, Transportation for
Alberta and British Columbia.
What are your core responsibilities at Morrison
Hershfield? What skills do you have that make
you great at your job?
My main role is ensuring the success of my business line –
basically, I have financial and technical accountability for
the performance of the group. I help set our annual budget,
