“However, when you put objects on the road, they
become hazards themselves – something another vehicle
can hit,” said van Bruggen. “Our products are designed to

100-plus kilometre impact. If he had hit a parked truck or
piece of equipment, he likely would have died or had very
serious injuries.
“Those things happen and are more common than
people think. It’s exciting to be part of something that
creates safer spaces.”
